The origins of the Ratdog.

Today I was cleaning out some more of my bedroom, basically because there is stuff in my bedroom that needs clearing out. I wanted to do this last year when the family had a skip, but couldn’t because there wasn’t anymore room left in the skip. So we are planning on getting another skip again, to get rid of a few more things.

While sorting some stuff out in my bedroom, I found some photographs of my first dog, who was a Chihuahua that was very tiny, and still stayed very tiny even in adulthood. Due to the fact that her previous owners decided that as a puppy they could not afford to feed her, so they left her to starve, to the point that she was just skin and bones. Then they dumped her at the vets in be euthanized, because they still didn’t want her.

Then my Mum took her home and gave her to me, when I was 15 years of age. I called her Pepper., but she soon took on the nickname the Ratdog, because she was the size of a adult rat. She loved the name, and she loved junk-food, especially McDonald’s fries and bits of pizza. The Ratdog died in 2001 at the age of about 6, but I know we gave her 6 years of love and attention that she deserved.

I still miss her six years after her death, and in the next post on here, I will scan a picture of the Ratdog. In memory of the little dog, that stole my heart, and gave me the inspiration to call my blog in honour of her.
