Goodie Goodie Yum Yum!

240px-thegoodies.jpgHeHe……Anyone who is a Goodies fan, or has seen The Goodies on TV, will know the reference to the title of this blog entry.

Yes! This is my first post on here, and its about The Goodies, because The Goodies is my favourite comedy show. Loved it ever since I was 13, when the ABC (Australian channel), showed most of The Goodies, on Mondays to Thursdays at about 6.00 PM. I never missed it, and in fact, because I laughed so hard at the show, I had to have my dinner after the show. As I was nearly sick from laughing, because it was so funny.

So onto the whole point of this post. Here is a collection of various stuff that is on the Internet, including links to two of the main fan-sites, and forums. Plus some of the Goodies related stuff that is on Myspace.

Link to The Goodies Fanclub.

The Goodies Fan-club or GROK as it is known to the members of the fan-club. Membership is free, all you have to do is register on the website itself for joining in the discussion on the online forum. Or you can register for the monthly newsletter, and mailing list, for all the news about the Goodies. There are also club T-shirts at the fan-club which you can purchase from the fan-club. There is also a great article guides for all things Goodies related such as, episode guides, guides to every album they released plus song lyrics, and reviews to the songs, and episodes to the TV show.

A great site for all those that are fans of The Goodies.

Link to The Saucy Gibbon.

Like the Goodies Fan-club, the Saucy Gibbon offers a great deal for Goodies fans in terms of information and a forum, and again is a great site for all fans of the Goodies. The Saucy Gibbon is more of a UK based site, and has a online petition going on that hopes to get the BBC to re-run episodes of the show.

Goodies stuff on Myspace.

There are a few Myspace pages on Myspace. Both the Goodies Fan-club, and the Saucy Gibbon, both have a myspace page, for their own website. Both pages are very good, with information about various things, such as Goodies related news, and on the Saucy Gibbon page, a link to where to sign the online petition.

There are also pages on the individual Goodies themselves, and myspace pages on other Goodies related stuff. Such as I’m Sorry I haven’t A Clue, and I’m Sorry I’ll Read That Again.

So I will leave you with a collection of Myspace links.

The Goodies Fan-club Myspace Page.

The Saucy Gibbon’s Myspace Page.

Tim Brooke Taylor Fan-space.

Graeme Garden Fan-space.

    The Goodies are great!

I sometimes really wish I had grown up in Australia and been able to watch them so much. I had to make do with my increasingly dim memories of the UK showings …

And welcome to the world of (Goodie) blogging!

    Hi Sosia,

I agree too that The Goodies are great. :)

Hopefully the BBC will show them again, or at least release more episodes on to DVD. Despite the ABC showing The Goodies over and over again. I only saw the re-runs once, the last time the ABC ran them in 1993. UK-TV ran the full episodes once too, but these days just show series 1 & 2 only for some reason.

Thanks for the welcome mat for Goodie blogging. :)
